Helping me learn Ibgo

I love it; this app has some great tools that I can use in conjunction with my Igbo class. Also the dictionary is a great extra. I also bought the full version and if you are serious about learning Igbo, you should too!

My in app purchases

My in app purchases keep deleting. And I have to redownload the app again just to try and restore them. It worked before but now It will not load.

Igbo gyal

I like this app a lot!! It has some useful words, i just wish it had more conversational phrases like: who, what, where, etc, where are u, i love u etc. You know just more general phrases but hey i cant complain. It was free!!

Like it a lot but need more phrases

Great app! Just wish it had more phrases that are commonly used. Would have expected to see kedu (how are you).

Helpful & Correct

More words please =)

Great

I wish there was someone that produced software that can be used in a classroom (with textbook, video, workbook combined). I found it so easy to teach myself French to the level of near-fluency, because the resources were all there. I could never do the same for Igbo because such resources dont exist for the Igbo language. With that being said, I applaud anyone that makes an effort to make software in this language. Years ago, I couldnt even find a single book! Igbo grammar lessons would make this a better app. Something that fosters actual communication in Igbo, as opposed to just knowing random words and phrases would be nice. I feel like this is perfect for someone traveling to the region that just need a few pocket phrases to get around. But then again, such is not necessary because one can get around just fine in English. So again, I thank you for efforts to teach others Igbo with this app, but if that is really the goal ultimately, there needs to be a more comprehensive method of teaching in use. A hard thing to do, but thats why it hasnt been one yet. And whoever does so first will probably make A LOT of money, since they will be the only source out. A team at University of Wisconsin seems to be pretty close to making that happen. Anyway, best of luck. The audio is great, by the way!

Very Useful App

As an Nigerian American this is one of the better solutions that is available to help me learn my language

Awesome App

I am reading Half of A Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and this app has a lot of words and phrases featured in the book. It also helped me with Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I am fascinated by Nigerian Culture. Thanks.

Igbo

This is so helpful. I already speak Igbo, but this is a good refresher of how Im supposed to say each word.

Thanks

Its refreshing to this kind of app from a Nigerian and been noble about it

There are two big reasons why only 3 stars.

This Igbo app is great. It is very hard to find information on learning the language. So to find this app is awesome. There are two big reasons why I cant give this app five stars. When it come to being able to repeat the larger words or phrases, it is hard to Understand whats being said. There should be button for SLOW syllable pronunciation. One should be able to hear the break up of the word without changing the accent of the speaker, so it can be understood and then repeated. For example, I dont just want to see the syllables in the word "pronunciation". If Im new to English Im going to want to HEAR the break up of the syllables as well..."pro-nun-ci-a-tion". Other wise how can I learn the words if I cant repeat whats being said? Kind of defeats having audio in the program. Also the amount of information can be a bit overwhelming If u are self teaching from scratch. The information should be broken up into lessons. Like day one day two, etc. otherwise I really like this program.
